Motherhood is both a sacred and inspiring experience. We are said to choose our parents and children on a spiritual level. Our children come to teach us so much and remind us of all the beauty in the world we have come to see as normal. They renew our lives and self.
Inspired by all the new life, new mamas and helpers who bring in the new life such as midwives and nurses I painted two new works, this being the first of two.
The new mom relaxes as the morning sun graces her skin, bees buzz around and a new day begins. She is calm, loving and at peace with herself. Her baby sleeps gently on her belly in the same state.
The name AURORA means Dawn or Goddess of the dawn, representing the female energy in us all. Bless and honor the goddess within.
